A rare early silver mounted violin bow by Yannick Le Canu, France, made in Paris in 1999. It is inspired by an original model. It is nimble, lightning quick with agility, and with an energetic yet powerfully robust response. Medium Firm with a nice cushion. 
About Yannick Le Canu 
Yannick Le Canu was born in Massy, France, in 1976. As a teenager, he used to spend most of the time in his uncle’s violin and bow making camberworkshop, the famous Loïc Le Canu and Bernard Millant. There he absorbed the warm atmosphere and stimulating proximity with prestigious instruments.
In 1998, he graduated under the supervision of Eric Grandshamp. Between 2000 and 2004 he worked in the Arezzo workshop, in Toulouse. Currently he works in his own workshop together with luthier Juliette Desmarchelier, in Lille.
In 2012, expert bow maker Jean-François Raffin asked Le Canu to collaborate with him and Sylvain Bigot in his office.
In conclusion, Yannick Le Canu has become one of the best and most promising bow makers internationally. He has won numerous awards which confirm he is already an authority in this field worldwide.
