This violin bow by esteemed bowmaker Paul Martin Siefried (1950-2019) is an incredibly beautiful silver mounted example of Paul’s work in fine vintage condition. It is beautifully balanced and strong. It produces a rich, colorful tone with a focused sound that is supportive and nimble. 60 grams.

Paul Siefried was a California native, who apprenticed under the renowned Hans Weisshaar shop, and later started his own shop in Port Townsend, Washington. He was a high level worker at everything he did, whether it was restoring and making bows, or restoring and working on vintage cars, houses, or boats. Paul Siefried won three gold medals and one silver at the Violin Society of America Competition, and by his third competition, he was named the "H’ors Concours” and was invited to become a judge for the competition. For his personal bows, his inspiration was largely from Peccatte and especially Maire. His work continues to be sought after by musicians that worked with him, as well as collectors, and his legacy continues gain the attention of performers worldwide.
