About:

Hermann W. Prell (1875-1925)

Prell studied bow making with Heinrich Hoyer in 1890 to 1893 and worked at several renowned bow makers such as Albert Nuernberger, August Rau and Eugene Sartory in Paris afterwards. He is a rare maker as he worked independently and is one of Germany's best bowmakers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
