A silver mounted bow by Florian Bailly in a CITES free materials capable of worry free world wide travel (silver tip, ebony slide/trim, calfskin leather, devoid of mammoth/shell/lizard). A Sartory/Ouchard inspired bow, with a beautiful chestnut brown pernambuco of even grain and of transluscent hue. 61 grams, strong, supple, nimble, and agile feel with a robust tone.

About the maker:
Florian Bailly is a bow maker in the French tradition based in the UK.
He trained with Noel Burke in Ireland and then came to London to work as a restorer. His bows are inspired by the sound of 19th century masters, but with the concepts of 20th century models.

Clients include Staff and students of the Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music, Chetham’s School of Music and members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Florian has now moved to the South East Coast of England and shares his time between making new bows and restoration.
