A wonderful Ettore Soffritti Violin, Ferrara, Italy 1925 in a mint state of condition.
Son of Luigi, also a maker, Ettore Soffritti was  a major influence in his city, known as the Founder of the school of Ferrarese making in the early 20th century, that inspired a number of other well known makers.
This violin was made during the maker's most mature part of his life, and it exhibits a soloistic warmth and beautiful nobility of tone that is both radiant and full of focus. The violin has a certificate from Eric Blot, and the length of back measures at 35.7cm.
